This July 18th – 21st, the 2018 Vent Haven International Ventriloquist ConVENTion will take place in Erlanger, KY.

WHERE?

Why not Las Vegas? Or California? Or New York? Or Florida?

Erlanger, Kentucky isn’t far from the Vent Haven Museum.

Vent Haven is the world’s only museum dedicated to ventriloquism. It houses more than 900 dummies from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries.

The conVENTion raises funds to help cover the cost of running the museum. It is held close to the museum so ventriloquists can visit the collection and take a tour.

If you love ventriloquism, it is the place to be this July!

Between 400 – 650 ventriloquists from around the world gather for the conVENTion. From those who have just started, to the full time professionals.

You don’t need an invitation, everyone is welcome.

(But you do need a registration … )

I remember my first conVENTion.

I was told I should go, just to get an idea of where I was in the ventriloquism community.

And you should too.

You will see all levels of acts. Some will be just starting. Others will be advanced. And chances are there will be some who are better.

It will be eye-opening.

Plus you get to learn from some of the best. The lectures and workshops are not only educational, but inspiring.

You will be immersed in the art.

At breakfast, lunch & dinner you will find yourself sitting with other ventriloquists. Rubbing elbows with people you have only read about, or watched on YouTube.

You will have access to two dealer’s rooms filled with ventriloquist figures, puppets and supplies. Imagine getting a first hand look at a name figure maker’s work, trying it out and if your budget is right, taking it home.

Each night you will get to watch shows featuring some of the best ventriloquists around. There is so much to see and do, you will be buzzing with ideas and enthusiasm.

If this is your first time, you may feel intimidated. But trust me, soon you will feel like a part of the family. You’ll make lifelong friendships and find yourself looking forward to coming back again and again.

The best part, there is still time to register for the 2018 ConVENTion! Just go to the Vent Haven ConVENTion website to get all the details.

I hope to see you this summer in Kentucky.
