I am reporting this morning that I will be stepping down from Maher Studios as of January 1, 2017. Tom, Ken Gorves, and myself are great friends and we had no personal strife between us, it’s just that our situations have changed. I am traveling nationally now for an energy company doing school assembly shows on energy savings and the company has just expanded into five more states, which will greatly increase my number of out-of-town school shows. Couple this with a rapidly growing Vent Haven ConVENTion (I will remain Executive Director) which now takes 11 months to plan and execute, and you can see my time is limited for Maher. Tom will do a great job and Ken and I are behind him 100% (Ken will also be leaving Maher due to his increased work at the Amish Country Theater) and I will write occasionally for the IVS Spotlght. Good luck to our buddy, Tom! Please support him and Maher!!

Mark & Ken notified the IVS by video in the December issue of the IVS Spotlight. This announcement is for ventriloquists and customers who are not IVS members. Please take a moment to comment below if there are any thoughts or feelings you’d care to share as Maher embarks on this transition. – Thank you, Tom
